Silhouette, is made of Hyper Flex Titanium. The designers of the Austrian
eyewear specialist have employed the lightness of titanium and the know-how
derived from over six years of co-operation with NASA. The minimalist nature of
Titan Minimal Art from Silhouette remains as revolutionary as ever. Large
lenses, offering optimum sun protection, have been used for the four Titan
Minimal Art models (8090, 8091, 8609 and 8610). The eye and the surrounding
sensitive skin are provided with intelligent protection, lateral and horizontal
light penetration being reduced markedly by the strongly curved frames, which
closely match the shape of the head.

Silhouette has long focused its research activities on the wearers of
sunglasses
and their personal needs regarding protection and frame design. The Silhouette
8609 style is available in four differing sun protection groups, comprised of
ideal PROTECTION, ideal POL, ideal GOLF and ideal IMAGE. All groups have
complete protection against UV A, B and C radiation up to 400 nm is guaranteed
with all lenses (Class 1 polycarbonate) and in addition all the sunglasses
possess high and in some cases, extremely high, levels of blue light filtration.
ideal PROTECTION - Optimum sun protection due to a 97% reduction in
blue light
With ideal PROTECTION, Silhouette has developed a highly specialised
filter that
eliminates all but 3% of high-energy blue light. 97% blue light filtration
ensures that the complete colour spectrum, including blue, can be
perceived with
total veracity. In concrete terms, this means that drivers have ideal,
intelligent protection, which allows them to correctly recognise signal colours
and enjoy heightened colour contrast. Moreover, ideal PROTECTION lenses are
perfect for sun-worshippers, who expect particularly clear and sharply defined
vision with their glasses. Ideal PROTECTION is available in brown
lenses for the

ideal POL – World's most advanced polarization technology
Sand, asphalt and wet surfaces are extremely reflective. Light waves, which can
be up to ten times brighter than normal light, subject the eyes to permanent
glare from every direction. "Millions of small suns" tire the eye and prevent
clear vision, particularly during driving or water sports. With ideal POL,
Silhouette has created lenses with a special polarisation filter. This employs
the world's most advanced technology in this area, the 12-layer
system, in which
a liquid injection process bonds a wafer- thin filter with the lens on a
molecular level. This polarisation filter eliminates reflected glare without
creating optical distortions. In addition, it also provides 96.5
(brown) or 84.5%
(grey) protection against the generally underestimated dangers of blue light.

ideal GOLF - Sun protection on the green
Ideal GOLF has been developed by golf professionals for golf professionals with

filters, light fluctuations are harmonised and concentration heightened, as the
high level of blue filtration offered by brown ideal GOLF lenses counteract
